Jamshedpur, Oct 18:  IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of dry and clear weather over Jharkhand today.

Weathermen said the sun will shine brightly in most districts across the state.

The satellite pictures suggested clear weather. There were traces of clouds in some districts in the northern parts of the state.

Weathermen said an induced cyclonic circulation over Haryana and the neighbourhood was today lying over north Haryana and the neighbourhood at 1.5 km above mean sea level.

A cyclonic circulation lies over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Andaman Sea extending up to 4.5 km above mean sea level.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over East-central Bay of Bengal around October 20.

Light rain was observed at isolated places over the state during the past 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperature of 36.4°C was recorded at Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 19.5°C was recorded at Ranchi.
