Jamshedpur, Nov 9: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre predicted dry weather with a partly cloudy sky in most parts of Jharkhand today.
Ruling out the possibility of rains Abhishek Anand, head of Ranchi Meteorological Centre said several districts would continue to witness fog and mist in the morning and a partly cloudy sky, later in the day.
A western disturbance was also passing through northerly parts of the country.
The western disturbance as a trough in westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level was today running roughly along Long. 65°E to the north of Lat. 20°N.
Statistics revealed that Khunti, Ranchi, Daltonganj and several other places recorded minimum readings of around 15 degrees Celsius on Wednesday while Jamshedpur and its adjoining districts in the Kolhan region recorded around 18 degrees Celsius.
According to the forecast, the night reading was expected to drop after the next 48- hours while the day’s reading would not see much changes in the next five days or so.
