Ranchi, July 3: Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University is set to soon start classes in the new building. The university will be conducting classes for professional courses among other things in the building.
Vice Chancellor Prof Tapan Shandilya has stated that the university will soon start courses of Nursing, among other courses, classes for which will be held in the new building. He said that he has already asked officials to prepare a proposal for the syllabus and conduct regulation of the nursing course, which will be placed for approval in the next academic council meeting of the university.
The VC further said that the basic problems including a common room, placement cell, sports, bus service, dress code, I-card, water, toilet and other basic problems would be resolved in a month. He said that now every month, officials along with the VC will interact and inquire about the problems of the university students.
The VC also confirmed that classes of professional courses will be conducted in the new building from July. At the same time, a new and state-of-the-art office will be available for administrative work within a month.
Regarding issues such as the infestation of termites in the library, VC Shandilya said that a library with a reading room will soon be made available to students.
Registrar Dr Namita Singh, in this regard has said that vocational courses will soon begin in the new administrative building with the new session. She said that the building has four floors, and a total of 70 classrooms. Furthermore, the new building also has a gym facility for girls and boys, separate common rooms for the same, seminar halls and computer labs along with washrooms for the divyang students.
