Dumka: Three bodies including minor girl recovered from different areas

Dumka, Oct 12: The dead body of a minor girl studying in class X has been recovered hanging from a tree in Badtalla village under Kathikund police station of the district this morning.

The deceased girl has been identified to be a native of Aamgachhi village under the same police station area who had gone missing five days ago. When the family members of the deceased girl could not trace her on their own they had finally informed the police on Tuesday about her missing but in vain.

Police said that the dead body of the deceased girl was found in a decomposed condition thereby suggesting that she had died earlier.

“The dead body of the deceased girl has been sent to the Phulo Jhano Medical College and Hospital for postmortem and investigation into the case has been on considering the same to be a murder and suicidal one” Shyamal Kumar Mandal, the officer-in-charge of Kathikund police station said adding that the postmortem report was being awaited to ascertain the cause of the death.

Meanwhile, in Panjbona village under Muffassil police station, the dead body of a 40-year-old woman has been recovered today which was lying along the railway line.

The officer-in-charge of the Muffassil police station Umesh Ram said that the deceased was yet to be identified and who believably was demented and might have been hit by a running train.

In yet another incident, one Karnil Soren (35) was found hanging at his home in Bandarjori Mohalla under the town police station on Wednesday itself.

The officer-in-charge of the town police station Nitesh Kumar said quoting the deceased’s family members that he was also demented and that they did not name anyone to be the suspect.

Meanwhile, UD cases have been lodged in connection with the aforesaid cases in respective police stations.
