New Delhi, Feb 23: An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 on the Richter scale hit 67 km West of Murghob in Tajikistan on Thursday. According to the USGS, the earthquake occurred around 5:37 am local time at a depth of about 20.5 km.

“Notable quake, preliminary info: M 6.8 – 67 km W of Murghob, Tajikistan,” USGS tweeted.
However, no casualties have been reported so far.
Earlier on Wednesday, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, and light vibrations were registered in Delhi-NCR.
On Monday evening, three people were killed and 213 others were injured after the two fresh earthquakes of magnitudes 6.4 and 5.8 hit Turkey’s Southern Hatay province.
