ED raids coal trader’s house in Hazaribag

Hazaribag, April13: A six-member team of the Enforcement Directorate raided the house of one Pankaj Prasad in Meru who runs a Pragya centre with his father and two brothers. The team searched the house and the pragya centre getting documents related to linkage of coal.

The team stayed at the house for few hours interrogating Pankaj and others.

Pankaj and his elder brother Deepak Prasad said their father earlier related to business of coal dust. But three years back, he left this work and we have nothing to do with it, he added.

Neighbours, however, expressed their surprise over this raid and said this family is leading a very simple life. It’s tough to say as what input the ED had received about them which make them to carry this raid, added they.
