Hazaribag, June 5: A team of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out a raid at the house of the life member of the Jharkhand State  Cricket Association (JSCA) and businessman Sanjay Singh on Monday morning. The house of Singh is situated on Mission hospital road.

Sources said the team carried raids at three places in Dhanbad and one at Hazaribag. Sources said raids are associated with illegal sand mining in Bihar.

It was yet not clear as to what the ED got against Sanjay Singh for which this raid was carried out. Sources said the team was inside the house of Singh carrying their probe and cross-checking many facts. However, the family members of Singh denied their involvement in any such work.

This family was in the news last week when Sanjay Singh’s elder brother Rajeev Singh became the new police chief of Manipur.
