Dhanbad, Dec 21: A three-day Little Magazine National Fair and Festival will begin at the Lindsey Club in Dhanbad from December 23 to 25.
The Fair and Festival is being organized jointly by Lindsey Club and Shilpey Ananya publication of Dhanbad in which over 500 national as well as regional little magazine publishing houses are participating.
Lindsey Club chairman Dr Amlendu Kumar Sinha, former director of Central Institute of Mineral Fuel Research (CIMFR), said that Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU) vice-chancellor Sukhdeo Bhoi will inaugurate the national Little magazine fair. Soumitra Kumar Choudhary, the emeritus medical scientist of Chittranjan Cancer Research Institute Kolkata, will grace the function as the guest of honour.
“Apart from the little magazine fair, deliberation on the importance and scope of the little magazine, its cultural function and poets conference would be also held. Famous litterateur of the country Prof BG Mazumdar of Tripura, famous dramatist Rahul Dev Mandal, and noted writer Johar Debnath would also attend the fair cum festival,” said Dr Singh.
Lindsey Club secretary cum editor of Shilpey Ananya magazine Dr Deepak Kumar Sen on the occasion informed that more than five hundred little magazine‘s editors, eminent writers, poets and litterateurs of the country have confirmed their participation.
“Local cultural teams of Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar would show their performance. A discussion would also be held on the challenges for the little magazine in the digital age,“ said Dr Sen.
The members of the organizing committee Salil Bishwas, Pradip Layak, Alok Dey, Swarup Dey, Babloo Goswamy, Manoj Mazumdar, Chandan Paul and others were also present on the occasion.
