Dhanbad, June 6: After a one-month hiatus, the Dhanbad district has once again been rocked by criminal extortion demands.

In the name of absconding Wasseypur gangster Prince Khan, a criminal has allegedly demanded Rs 5 lakh in extortion from Praveen Barnwal, owner of Hirapur Durga Mandir road-based Beauty Jewellers, Ashok Khatri, owner of Bartand Pandit Clinic road-based Jams and Jewellers, and Sanjay Soni, owner of Steel Gate Jeweller.

Officers of both the police stations said that the location of the received call is being identified to nab the criminal.

As per the FIR lodged by the victim jewellers in Dhanbad Sadar and Saraidhela police stations respectively, the criminal claiming himself the manager of Prince Khan demanded Rs 5 lakh each from them and threatened dire consequences if failed to pay the amount.

As per the FIR, all trio jewellers received an extortion call on Saturday evening.

Notably, the criminal had telephoned all trio jewellers from the same number (7777775550) for extortion demand.

In May last year, Prince Khan made his video viral tottering sophisticated weapons from the same number.
