New Delhi, Nov.26: On the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the farmers’ protest, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said on Friday that the agitation will be remembered for the farmers’ unwavering ‘satyagraha,’ the ‘martyrdom of 700 farmers,’ and the arrogance of the ‘ruthless’ BJP government.

Since November 26 last year, farmers have been protesting against three central farm laws along Delhi’s boundaries.

“A year has passed since the farmers’ movement began. It will be remembered for the farmers’ unwavering satyagraha, the sacrifice of 700 farmers, the merciless BJP government’s hubris, and the crimes against ‘annadatas,’” Priyanka Gandhi stated in a Hindi tweet.

Farmers, on the other hand, have always been praised in India and will continue to be, according to her.

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s surprising announcement last Friday, farmer leaders have stated that protesters will remain in Delhi’s border areas until the Centre formally repeals the farm legislation in Parliament.

The three laws, which were enacted in September of last year, were repealed by the prime minister during a speech to the country.
