New Delhi, Feb 7: Fifth earthquake of magnitude 5.4 jolts eastern Turkey on Tuesday as the country grapples with widespread devastation, according to USGS. The Malatya and Sincik cities of eastern Turkey felt shaking at around 10 am (local time).
The centre added that the quake was at a depth of 10 km. Further details and damage reports are awaited.

Since the first 7.8 magnitude quake, rescuers raced Tuesday to find survivors in the rubble of thousands of buildings brought down and multiple aftershocks that struck eastern Turkey and neighbouring Syria, with the discovery of more bodies raising the death toll to 4,600, Assosiated Press reports.
So far, 11,000 buildings have been reported damaged in Turkey. Nearly 25,000 emergency responders are working at scenes impacted, reported CNN.
Earlier in the day, India has dispatched the first batch of earthquake relief material to Turkey aboard an Indian Air Force(IAF) C-17 aircraft.
