Deoghar, April 13: A fire broke out in the premises of AIIMS Deoghar on Thursday. The fire broke out in under construction area of block D. According to the sources, the sparks from the ongoing wielding works caused the fire, as the wielding works were going on the upper floor of block D.

The fire has been brought under control and no casualties have been reported. On getting information about the incident the BDO of Devipur Abhay Kumar reached the spot and took the account of the situation.

Talking to Lagatar24.com, BDO Abhay Kumar confirmed the incident. He said that the fire was not so devastating and came under control soon. Before the arrival of fire personnel it was completely extinguished with available water near construction work.

Responding to a query whether the AIIMs management is ready to handle such situations as OPD service has already been started in AIIMS, BDO Abhay Kumar avoided commenting but he was not happy with the preparedness of the construction agency. Lagatar.com contacted senior officers of AIIMS but couldn’t get the comment.
