Ranchi: A sudden fire broke out in the Jharkhand Police Headquarters on Thursday afternoon. A sudden fire broke out on the second floor of the police headquarters, creating an atmosphere of panic. The reason behind the fire is not clear. But there is a possibility of fire due to short circuit. Due to the fire, smoke filled the second floor. The fire was brought under control by the personnel present at the police headquarters. It will be known only after assessing the damage caused by the fire.
A plume of smoke spread throughout the campus
After the incident of fire, a plume of smoke spread throughout the headquarters premises. Flames and plumes of smoke were visible all around. The fire was brought under control in no time. Efforts are being made to remove the plume of smoke by opening all the windows and all the doors of the office.

There was a fire in Jharkhand Police Headquarters also two and a half years ago. A sudden fire broke out in the evening on 15 November 2018. The flames were so strong that the conference hall on the ground floor and papers and furniture were gutted. After the incident, there was chaos in the police headquarters. People started running here and there. In this incident, the leg of a policeman Shravan Kumar was broken. The fire started from the battery room on the ground floor. Then after this the adjacent conference hall was completely engulfed in fire.
