Firing on PWD contractor house rocks Dhanbad, panic prevails

Dhanbad, May 23 : Bike borne unidentified criminals fired at the house of a PWD contractor in Housing Colony under sadar police station in Dhanbad on Monday.

This is the second such firing incident in Dhanbad in the last three days. Earlier, on May 21, the unidentified criminals had fired at the house of Matloob Ansari (civil contractor) early morning allegedly for extortion.

DSP ( law and order) Amar Pandey said that bike borne criminals fired on the house of PDW contractor Ram Naresh Singh at around 2 pm. Bullets hit the window  and wall of the house. No one was injured during the firing. Police recovered three empty cartridges from the spot and began investigation of the incident.

Absconding  gangster of Wasseypur  Prince Khan had  threatened Singh through WhatApp. Ram Naresh Singh has a contract of PWD road construction in Wasseypur to Aramore worth Rs 1 crore. Prince Khan has allegedly demanded extortion for this from Ram Naresh Singh.

After getting firing incident information DSP law and order Amar Pandey, Dhanbad sadar police station officer in-charge Vinay Kumar along with police force reached the spot and began investigation. The official immediately ordered for checking bikes’ vehicles at all centre points in the city.

DSP received detailed information from Ram Naresh Singh about the incident, who was in the house along with his family at the time of firing.

“CCTV footage of the house is being watched and criminals would be nabbed soon, “he said.

Eye witnesses of the incident said criminals came from Bus stand road and fled towards Golf Ground side road after firing at the house of Ram Naresh Singh. Both the bike borne criminals had covered their faces.
