Five-day training on Data Management with Business Analytics begins at BIT, Lalpur

Ranchi, July 31: A five-day short term training programme on Data Management with Business Analytics (DMBA 2023) was today inaugurated at Lalpur Extension Centre of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra .

Vice Chancellor Indranil Manna graced the occasion by his virtual presence as the Patron. Special Guest for the event was Dean of Research (Innovation and Entrepreneurship)  C. Jeganathan, who motivated the participants with his encouraging words and further explained the relevance of DMBA in daily life.

Other dignitaries and panellists included chairperson Lalpur centre director-in-charge Vandana Bhattacharjee besides convenor- Tanmoy Kumar Banerjee, co-convenor- Mahua Banerjee, Treasurer- Swati Minz and secretary- Shubhojeet Paul. They ensured smooth progress of the event while equally contributing towards its procedures.

The workshop witnessed bulk registration and all 50 seats were filled by UG and PG students. The first session was conducted by Mahua Banerjee. She enlightened the students with an Introduction to Business Analytics. The domain of Statistical Analysis was effectively explained by Tanmoy Kumar Banerjee.

A hand on session on Excel was conducted by Subhasis Roy post the lunch break. The event was accomplished by the efforts of student volunteers- Astha Kumari, Alokit Charles Toppo, Eshika Singh, Sai Aditi Verma and Shristi Anand.
