Five of family hospitalized after eating noodles, seek DC’s intervention

Hazaribag, Aug 16: Five, including three children, became victims of food poisoning by eating magic masala noodles on Tuesday. The victims today knocked the door of Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay demanding action in their case.  All are undergoing treatment at Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital. All are residents of North Shivpuri, Krishna Nagar, street number 08 of Hazaribag city and belong to the same family.

The victims said after eating the noodles, they became sick. Many started vomiting as well as complained of abdominal pain, vomiting of blood and trouble breathing.

Doctors said all are recovering and are now out of danger.  Vijay Kumar, head of the family, complained to Sahay today. He said he had purchased six packets of the noodles from one Arun general store in his mohalla and after eating the noodles, he and his sister-in-law Shobha Devi (30), nephew Chiku Kumar (9), niece Khusboo Kumari (13) and Anjali Kumari (9) fell sick. Vijay demanded a probe and action on the guilty persons in this case.
