Five trains crossing Dhanbad division cancelled, 7 diverted amid Kudmi stir

Dhanbad, April 5: Five trains crossing and running from Dhanbad Rail Division have been cancelled today and routes of  11 other trains have been diverted in the wake of the Kudmi Samaj blockade for tribal status agitation.

An official of the East Central Railway (ECR) said that due to  ‘Rail Roko  Andolan’ of Kudmi Samaj at Khemasuli railway station under Kharagpur Rail Division and at Kustore station under Adra Rail Division different trains have been cancelled and the route of 11 trains including Delhi – Bhubaneswar  Rajdhani Express, Nilanchal Express have been diverted.

Train No. 13301 Dhanbad –Tata Nagar Swarnarekha Express which runs from Dhanbad has been cancelled today.

Besides it, Train No. 18116 Chakradharpur- Gomoh Express, Train No. 03595 Bokaro -Asansol Special, Train No. 08641 Adra- Barkakana passenger, Train No. 03598 Asansol- Ranchi Special have been also diverted due to agitation.
Trains diverted from other routes

Train No. 12859  Mumbai – Howrah Geetanjali Express which runs from Mumbai on Tuesday would run through Ranchi- Bokaro- Talgaria- Adra to Howrah.

Train No. 12833 Ahmadabad – Howrah Express started from Ahmadabad on Tuesday and would also run via Ranchi- Bokaro- Talgaria- Adra to Howrah on Wednesday.

Train No 18020  Lokmanya Tilak Shalimar Express will also run through Ranchi- Bokaro- Adra today.

Train No.12262  Howrah- Mumbai Duronto Express  would run via Adra –bokaro Ranchi on Thursday ( April 5.

Train No. 22511 Lokmanya Tilak  Kamakhya Express which started on Tuesday would run via Ranchi – Bokaro Talgaria and Adra.

Train No. 22858 Anandvihar –Satragachhi Express which started on Tuesday has also been diverted and today would run via Gomoh-  Mahuda- Bhojudih rather than Gomoh Purulia station.
