Hazaribag, May.27: A tin sheet of the apartment was uprooted by a storm which landed on the road hitting a woman who got seriously injured. The woman, who was earning and supporting her mentally ill husband, died last night.

On Thursday evening, heavy downpouring followed by a high speed storm damaged houses, four wheelers and two wheelers to other properties in the district. A girl named Simran Kumari died when a wall collapsed on her. In the second case, a woman Nibha Kumari sustained severe injuries but she also died on Friday late night taking the total toll to two.
31-year-old Nibha was a resident of Lakhe in Hazaribagh town and used to do domestic work in other’s house supporting her family financially.  Her death left her two children shocked as they are still not in a position to accept the death of their mother.

Family members said Nibha was returning to her home in Lakhe after working from another’s house like every day, when suddenly a storm came during heavy rain. She tried to save herself and rushed towards Lakhe Shiv Mandir. Just then, a tin sheet which was uprooted by a storm from the top floor of Ranaji Height apartment came flying and fell on her forehead along with the angle. Due to this she was seriously injured. In the injured state, with the help of the local people, her relatives brought her to HMCH for treatment. Seeing her serious condition, the woman was referred to RIMS. The woman died on Friday night during treatment at RIMS.

On Saturday, the post-mortem of the deceased woman was done after Sadar MLA Manish Jaiswal intervened. After this accident, the entire family of the deceased was scattered. Deepak Sao, the husband of the deceased, is mentally weak and he also works as a daily wage labourer. The deceased has two minor sons. Elder son Nishant Kumar is about 17 years old and younger son Nirmal is about 13 years old. Due to husband’s poor earning which was creating problems in children’s education and upbringing, Nibha started working in another’s house to meet the needs of the family. Due to her sudden demise of the breadwinner of the house, her mentally weak husband has to bear the burden of running the house and raising the children. Jaiswal assured all possible help to the family. “I will talk to the officials of the district to ensure maximum help to them,” he added.
Here, as soon as Hazaribagh Sadar MLA Manish Jaiswal got information about this incident, he immediately sent his media representative Ranjan Chowdhary to the hospital. On the instructions of MLA Manish Jaiswal, Ranjan Chowdhary sent the body to his residence after the post-mortem.
