Ranchi, March 2: Former Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Maroo asked the state government to let the concerned persons know about the procedure of reimbursement of air ticket fare of the students returning to Jharkhand from Ukraine.
Maroo raised the demand during a press conference with BJP legislature party chief Babulal Marandi on the deteriorating law and order of the state.
Maroo justified his demand saying as he is getting calls from the parents of students who returned to Jharkhand in this regard as the during war air ticket price was abnormally increased from the normal fare of Rs 30000 compelling the prime minister to press Indian Air Force into service to evacuate students free of cost from the troubled area.
The former Rajya Sabha member said the prime minister has left no stone unturned to bring back all Indians stranded in Ukraine safely and for this Operation Ganga is going on. Apart from this, he said the BJP is also working at its level establishing a central control room in New Delhi.
Talking about the initiatives taken by the state unit of BJP, the family members of all the 162 students from 23 districts of Jharkhand stranded in Ukraine are being connected and all possible help is being provided for the safe return of the students in coordination with different wings working for the job.
Maroo said so far there is information of safe return of 23 Jharkhandi students. He said out of 162 students from Jharkhand, 87 are male while 75 are female. The number of students from Ranchi is 30, which is the maximum. It is followed by East Singhbhum with a figure of 23.
He said a control room has also been in the BJP state headquarters under the control of spokesperson Pratul Nath Shahdeo.
