Bathinda, April 12: The Indian Army claimed that a shooting incident took place in Punjab’s Bathinda Military Station on Wednesday morning, resulting in four fatalities.
According to a statement from the Army’s South Western Command, the shooting incident took place within the Bathinda Military Station at roughly 4.35 am.
“Four casualties were reported in the incident. The Station Quick Reaction Teams were activated and the area was cordoned off and sealed. Search operation in progress”, informed the HQ SW Command.
Punjab police have ruled out a terror angle in the incident.
All of the Army Cantonment’s entry gates in Bathinda, according to sources, have been shut. One Insas gun and 28 cartridges were reported missing roughly two days ago, and some Army personnel may be responsible, according to the report.
