New Delhi, Oct.30: Petrol and diesel prices have risen in the country for the fourth day in a row. The price of both petrol and diesel have been increased by Rs 0.35 on Saturday.

According to the official website of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, petrol is now priced at Rs 108.99 per litre in Delhi, and diesel is now priced at Rs 97.72 per litre.

Petrol and diesel are priced at Rs 114.81 per litre and Rs 105.86 per litre, respectively, in Mumbai.

Petrol costs Rs 109.46 per litre in Kolkata, while diesel costs Rs 100.84 per litre. In Chennai, a litre of petrol costs Rs 105.74 and a litre of diesel costs Rs 101.92.

Since September 5, petrol prices have remained stable, but oil firms eventually boosted pump prices last week, and goods costs have recently increased.

It is to be remembered that fuel prices increased by Rs 0.35 on Friday. Prior to this, fuel prices had been raised for five days in a row, till Sunday, October 24, 2021.

The impact of value-added tax on the price of petrol and diesel varies from state to state. Meanwhile, the central government is in talks with a number of oil-exporting countries about oil supply and demand, but no quick price relief is expected.

According to ANI, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas recently expressed concerns regarding oil pricing, supply, and demand to the main oil-producing countries.

“As crude oil prices climb globally, the petroleum ministry has contacted the energy ministries of a number of nations, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, and others,” the source said.
