Ranchi, Feb 27: Preparations for the G-20 Summit are in the final stage as the delegates are set to visit between March 1 and March 3 in the state capital. Five senior IAS officers of the district have been given responsibilities for ensuring proper arrangements are made during the proposed Summit and visit the consequent visit to Patratu.
Notably, the meeting that is set to be held on March 2, will be organised at the Radisson Blu. The officers have been given responsibilities to manage the event not only at the venue of the meeting but also at the airport, Patratu Lake Resort, among others. The selected officials include Rahul Purwar, Manish Ranjan, Amitabh Kaushal, Kripa Jha and Uma Shankar Singh.
Of these, senior IAS Rahul Purwar Secretary has been given the responsibility of the airport. The team will be led by Nitish Singh and Manish Kumar, while the team includes Shatabdi Mazumdar and Ravi Shankar. All the office bearers along with their senior officials have been entrusted with many responsibilities.
These include coordinating the arrival and departure of delegates and VIPs as per the schedule received from the Ministry of External Affairs, taking care of branding of the airport at both departure and arrival terminals, coordinating with branding partner of Union Ministry of External Affairs EMC and State Tourism Agency, coordinating with Airport Authority officials, CISF to ensure smooth security check and separate counters for delegates and VIPs, coordinating with the Radisson Blu team to serve refreshments and beverages in both the Arrivals and Departures lounges, coordinating with Liaison Officers for escorting delegates from the airport, coordinating with the Cultural Directorate to welcome guests at the airport, any other work as required, issuance to all concerned from District Administration and Airport Authority and providing porters from Union Ministry of External Affairs EMC and Airport Authority to assist the delegates.
Meanwhile, senior IAS Manish Ranjan has been given the responsibility at Hotel Radisson Blu. The team will be led by Himanshu Mohan, Akanksha Ranjan and Karn Satyarthi and their team consists of Ashish Gangwar and Ashish Kumar Jaiswal.
The responsibilities assigned to them include coordinating with Liaison Officers to escort the delegates from airport to hotel, coordinating with the directorate for the cultural program to be held at night and the gala dinner, distribution of coffee table books and gifts to the delegates and VIPs at the hotel, coordinating 24×7 Hotel with Ranchi Administration for Medical Team and Cardiac Ambulance, welcoming the state dignitaries attending the cultural program and gala dinner at night, and issuance from district administration to all concerned, any other work as per requirement.
Similarly, senior IAS Amitabh Kaushal has been given the responsibility for the program to be held at Patratu Lake Resort. The team will be led by Rituraj and his team consists of Utkarsh Kumar, Vispute Srikanth and Sujit Kumar Singh.
The responsibilities assigned to them include establishment of Shilp Gram in coordination with State Tourism Agency’s partner branding, coordinating support with Radisson Blu team to serve snacks and beverages on arrival and serve lunch at Patratu, coordinating with Cultural Directorate to welcome the team and set up stalls for live performances, coordinating with JSLPS, Khadi, Tribes India, Jharcraft for their respective stalls, issuance of passes to all concerned on behalf of the district administration, coordination with NDRF and JTDC for boating facilities, coordination arrangement on Patratu Island, any other work as required and Patratu and Shilpgram pamphlet designing and distribution.
On the other hand, senior IAS Kripa Jha and Uma Shankar Singh have been given the responsibility for traffic and coordination with Ranchi district administration. The team is headed by Utkarsh Gupta and the team consists of Om Prakash Gupta, Sunny Raj and Thakur Gauri Shankar Sharma.
The assigned responsibilities include coordinating with Central TMC for checking availability of vehicles, drivers and security of vehicles, arrangement of parking at various places, arranging luxury buses to go to Patratu on behalf of the district administration, issuance of passes to all concerned on behalf of the district administration, and according to the requirement of district administration, plan of view cutter across Ranchi city, any other work as per requirement.
Along with this, Vishal Sagar has been given the responsibility of leading the team for coordination of liaison officers and his team consists of Animesh Ranjan and Piyush Kumar.
The responsibilities assigned to the team include checking and tagging of LOS with foreign representatives, training of LOS on soft skills and providing LOS to assist delegations and VIPs at the airport and at Patratu Craft Village, any other work as required.
