GAIL slashes PNG prices in Adityapur industrial area by Rs 3

Jamshedpur, Aug 4: GAIL Gas Limited reduced PNG (Piped Natural Gas) prices for industrial units of Adityapur in the adjoining Seraikela- Kharsawan district, by Rs 3.

The revised prices will be effective from today.

An official based in New Delhi confirmed that GAIL Gas Limited has further reduced PNG prices for its industrial consumers at Adityapur, the state’s largest industry hub.

According to the official GAIL Gas Limited, a city gas distribution company for  Adityapur has reduced its industrial PNG prices by Rs 3/SCM (standard cubic metre).

Earlier,  the prices for industrial PNG were Rs 66/SCM and after the reduction, the price has become Rs 63/SCM.

Officials said in line with the company’s commitment to promoting cleaner fuels and supporting India’s transition towards a gas-based economy, GAIL Gas is passing on the benefits of lower international LNG prices to the end users.

Notably, GAIL (India) Limited is the largest state-owned natural gas processing and distribution company in India.

The company has a diversified business portfolio and has interests in the sourcing and trading of natural gas, production of LPG, liquid hydrocarbons and petrochemicals, the transmission of natural gas and LPG through pipelines, etc.
