Garhwa SP Ajnani Kumar Jha confirmed the arrest saying the reason behind the dispute is being probed.

“According to the accused, Soni accompanied by his brother started fighting while victim Soni said he was attacked when he attempted to solve a dispute of Ansari with some other. Primary investigation suggests that dispute arose after interference of seniors in children’s matters but what exactly happened is being probed,” SP Jha said.

A locality resident said that the attack was made in the evening on Friday.

He was admitted to Garhwa hospital for treatment of his burn injuries at his face. According to civil surgeon Dr Anil Kumar, he is out of danger” the resident said.

“On the statement of the victim, the Nagar Untari police lodged an FIR against Kasmuddin under sections of 323, 341, 307, 326, 504 and 506 of IPC before arresting him,” the resident said.
