Civil Surgeon Garhwa Dr Anil Kumar said today, “We have invited Prof Sanjay Kumar Suman, head of the department of radio diagnosis of the IGIMS Patna and Dr Dilip Kumar, Department of Pathology Patna Medical College Patna on April 15 to grace and participate in the CME cum cancer awareness campaign in the Sadar Hospital Garhwa.”
He added, “I am trying to get the consent of a noted cancer specialist Dr R N Tagore of the Paras hospital in Patna for the same April 15 awareness campaign for early detection and treatment of cancer.”
“Breast cancer, cervical cancer and oral cancer – these three types of cancer are now being reported more and hence it is very essential to make people aware of the first symptom of these three,” said the civil surgeon.
“It’s the breast cancer that girls and women feel shy to tell. This is not only unfortunate but dangerous for health. I ask girls and women to consult a doctor if they discover anything new with their breasts.” added he.
31 patients of cancer took fiscal relief from the state’s Chief Minister incurable disease and relief fund out of which there were 6 cases of breast cancer, 4 of cervical cancer and 3 of oral cancer, reminded Anil Kumar.
