Dhanbad, Nov 24: Even after 20 hours since the abduction of a real-estate operator from GT road, under Bagodar police station, the Giridih police are still clueless over the incident.
Bagodar police station officer in-charge, Saroj Singh, told media that the police have started probing the incident on the basis of CCTV footage.
“The kidnappers have been captured in the CCTV cameras and police will arrest them soon,” he said.
The police official said that no extortion has been demanded by the abductors from the family of the operator so far. However, police are investigating the incident on different angles.
Armed criminals, who came on bike and four wheelers, abducted real estate operator Md. Shamsher Alam at around 5.30 pm of Tuesday on the inter-state GT road at Santurpi village, under Bagodar police station.
Shamsher Alam was monitoring the construction of a nursing home when the abductors dashed on the spot and dragged him into a car on gun point. When labours protested the abduction, the bike borne criminals who were escorting the car, fired bullets in air to scare them.
Workers informed the Bagodar police about the abduction of Shamsher Alam immediately. Eye witnesses said that there were around 5-6 criminals. The car and bike came from Barkatta side and after abducting Shamshedr Alam, they drove away towards Barhi.
