Jamshedpur, Dec 8: Several parts of the state including Jamshedpur today woke up to gloomy weather caused by clouds which was a result of a cyclonic storm over the neighbouring Bay of Bengal.
Weathermen said the day temperature would witness a drop today and in the next 48 hours due to cloud formation.
The prevailing weather would result in a rise in minimum readings by two to three degree Celsius in the next 72- hours.
According to a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre fog and mist would continue to prevail over Jharkhand with a partly cloudy sky till Sunday.
The deep depression over Southeast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal moved westnorthwestwards and intensified into a cyclonic storm (Mandous) last evening.
The wind pattern would also change for the next two to three days due to the impact of the cyclonic storm
Statistics revealed that Daltonganj recorded the season’s lowest temperature of around 6.5 degree Celsius today.
Ramgarh, Simdega , Khunti , Bokaro and Dhanbad recorded minimum temperature below 10 degree Celsius.
