Ranchi, Jan 27: A petition challenging the new appointment rules of Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) was heard in the court of Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad on Thursday.

During the hearing, the court was told on behalf of the applicant that the government has been directed to file its reply on several occasions, but the government has not yet responded.

To this, the court orally said that after looking at this rule, it appears that the government does not want to allow general category students to study outside the state and wants to keep them here while there is relaxation for the reserved category people in this matter.

The court further added that the government is also taking out other appointments. In such a situation, if there is a delay in this matter, then other appointments will also be affected by it.

Meanwhile, another petition has been filed in the Jharkhand High Court on behalf of Ramesh Hansda and Kushal Kumar. It said that it is unconstitutional to impose the condition of passing the 10th and 12th examinations from a state institution for appointment to JSSC. At the same time, it also states removing Hindi and English from the language courses is also wrong.
