New Delhi, Jan 29: The Panchayat Junior Clerk recruitment exam that was supposed to take place at 11 am today has been postponed after a paper leak case came to light. The exam was scheduled to go from 11 am to 12 pm in several state districts.

As per ANI, the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board, Gandhinagar informs that “On the basis of the information received by the police, a suspect Isam was arrested and a copy of the question paper of the above examination was found from him. Criminal police action and further investigation is being done”.

The exam date will be released by the board as soon as it is possible.

In the exam centre, Jamnagar pupils and their parents expressed dissatisfaction and fury and demanded that the government take strong action against the offenders. While more than 7,00,000 students were anticipated to take the exam, Jamnagar only registered 26,882 pupils.

Over 9.50 lakh candidates registered for the exam, and GSRTC buses provided free round-trip transportation, according to the Chief Minister’s Office.
