Jamshedpur, March 31: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued an alert for a hailstorm in isolated pockets of Jharkhand today.
Weathermen said light to moderate rain or thunderstorm was expected at many places over the state today.
Thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by strong surface wind gusting up to 40-50 Kmph likely at isolated places over the state. The hailstorm alert was issued for isolated places over southern and central parts of the state.
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is also expected at a few places over the state until tomorrow. The trough from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to north Odisha across Gangetic West Bengal was hoverong at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.

Weathermen said no large change in maximum temperature is expected during the next 24 hours thereafter gradual fall by 3-4°C in next two days and then a gradual rise by 2-4°C in the subsequent two days.
