Ranchi, Aug.13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for Jharkhand residents to take part in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to commemorate India’s 75th anniversary of independence was well received.
This came to light after the tricolour was spotted at homes throughout the state, and people of all ages—from young children to the elderly—as well as sanitation workers and union ministers—saw attending demonstrations and evoking feelings of patriotism in the crowd.
At Khunti, earlier a Maoist stronghold, Union minister Arjun Munda led a 2-kilometer schoolchildren’s Prabhat Pheri. He was so excited to be there in the morning that he communicated his feelings by declaring that the procession had turned the “Amrit Mahotsav” into “Amrit.”
In expressing his sentiments, he claimed that hundreds of youngsters who took part in the march held the key to the nation’s future because they appeared dedicated to ensuring India’s strength and independence over the next 25 years. He claimed that providing these kids with a solid education and upbringing will be their greatest gift to the nation.
A large procession of Yogada Satsang Vidyalaya students was spotted close to the Jharkhand assembly. With their national flags in hand, they gave the impression that they were a large group of warriors on a mission. Common people were heard saying “Vande Mataram” and “Jai Hind” as they travelled through the streets near his school.
In Dhurwa, Tiranga Yatra participants from Saraswati Vidya Mandir were spotted. On drums, they marched. Additionally, they could be heard shouting in their school uniforms.
In Firdous Nagar in Doranda, the Navjawan committee was seen handing out tricolours and asking residents to display them on their rooftops. Similar circumstances were observed at the Jharkhand capital’s Harmu Housing Colony, Argora, Hinoo, Hindpiri, Kanke Road, Pundag, and other areas.
“I was concerned about carrying out the campaign, and despite having 1100 flags, I was unable to do so owing to the persistent rain. People flocked to my house this morning when the sun was shining for flags, and it only took me a few hours to distribute them with the assistance of volunteers from various localities. Arun Kumar Jha, a councillor for Ranchi Municipal Corporation’s Ward 26, said those who took the flag quickly fixed it to a prominent part of their homes.
Under the direction of director K.L. Agrawal, employees of the Airport Authority of India were spotted holding the tricolour at Birsa Munda Airport.
