Harmanpreet, Mandhana, Deepti to be captain in Women’s T20 Challenge

New Delhi, May 16: The BCCI on Monday announced 16-member squads for each of three teams for Women’s T20 Challenge, which will run from May 23 to May 28.

Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Deepti Sharma have been selected as the leaders of their respective teams, Trailblazers, Supernovas, and Velocity.

Trailblazers and Supernovas will face off in the opener, with all matches taking place at MCA Stadium in Pune. Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami, both veterans, were unable to compete.

This edition will include 12 international players, including cricketers from South Africa, the West Indies, England, and Australia. Notably, Trailblazers had won the previous edition held in 2020.
