Hazaribag, Nov 29: A fake examinee was caught writing the exam paper for one Ujjwal Kumar of semester 6 of the University Law College under Vinoba Bhave University on Tuesday.
As per information, the exam was going on in the MBA department when centre superintendent Dr Sadique Raza caught the youth. He was later taken into custody by the Korra police.
When inquired, the fake examinee turned out to be a matriculate. Sources said he was writing the paper for the Indian Penal Code when Raza brought the attendance sheet. When he signed, his signature didn’t match the one on the admit card.
Raza said the Korra police were informed and the fake examinee was arrested. “I have rusticated Ujjwal Kumar who hired a fake examinee to write the paper for him,” he said.
College authorities now suspect that this fake examinee might have written the paper for Ujjwal during the exam of one optional paper which was a few days ago. “We are now probing the matter and have taken action accordingly against Ujjwal,” they said.
Korra police said they are interrogating the fake examinee and soon everything will come to the fore.
