Hazaribag, Feb 16: The arrival of the dead body of a fourth-grade employee Leyosh Tigga of the Indian airforce in the wee hours of Thursday angered his relatives and neighbours in Dipugarha who refused to accept the case as a natural death.
The 52-year-old was posted in Tejpur Assam where he died and those who came with the dead body termed it a case of a heart attack.
Monalisa Lakra, BJP leader and an advocate who is known to the family said they didn’t accept the theory of natural death as the dead body was brought late last night at his residence in Dipugarha.
“As we protested seeing injuries on the body, the district administration agreed to permit us for a second postmortem at Sheikh Bhikhari medical college and hospital,” she said.
The Korra officer-in-charge Uttam Tiwary who reached here after getting information talked to the airforce officials in Tejpur. Lakra said Tejpur officials informed them that a postmortem was done there before sending the body to Hazaribag.
“If you all want a second postmortem, it’s your choice. Even after the postmortem at Tejpur, his viscera were also kept safe in case of further investigation. Later relatives decided not to go for a second postmortem,” added Lakra.
According to her, after a prayer at the church, his funeral will take place in the local cemetery of Hurhuru.
