Hazaribag, April 13: BJP leader and owner of Hotel Green Park Ranjan Kumar Vishwakarma (66) was found dead here outside the bathroom of the hotel today.
The hotel is situated on the Congress office road.
His family members suspected foul play in his death claiming that he was fit and fine and sudden death is a well-planned conspiracy.
Vishwakarma’s body was seen lying near the bathroom making hotel staff to raise an alarm. Sadar police was informed which reached on the spot immediately and started a probe.
The wife of Ranjan, Nishi Vishwakarma, said her husband was in good health and so this death is a conspiracy. She suspected involvement of a two-wheeler businessman who was his husband’s close friend and missing since yesterday. I want a proper probe so that mystery behind death of my husband gets revealed,” she added.
His younger brother Ashok Kumar Vishwakarma said they want post-mortem to know the actual reason behind the death. “I will not suspect anyone till arrival of the post-mortem report,” he cleared.
Police officials said they are not in a position to comment till the post-mortem report comes to them. “We are sending the body for post-mortem,” they added.
BJP leader Jyoti Sinha a.k.a Guddu said Ranjan was associated with the BJP since long. His death is suspicious and we want a proper probe,” he added.
