Hazaribag, Aug 3: Greed for property made a man of Bihar to kill his own brother. He not only killed his brother but beheaded the body throwing it at two different places under the Ichak police station area of the district. Trainee IPS cum officer-in-charge Kumar Shivashish of the Ichak police station today announced this success confirming the arrest of killer brother, his wife and two of his associates.
Shivashish said that the case is related to a body found in the Lotwa forest in Ichak on July 9. He said the victim’s brother turned out to be the murderer of his own elder brother. Accused Arjun Singh is the own brother of the deceased Bhim Singh. Bhim Singh wanted to marry a woman from another caste due to which Arjun Singh got angry. He also got greedy for the money of Bhim Singh and so conspired with the other three accused and killed Bhim Singh in Aurangabad. And after the murder, the head was thrown in Padma and torso in Ichak, both in Hazaribag. Shivashish also informed that a case was registered under IPC sections 302, 201 on July 9, 2023, in Ichak police station after the recovery of the beheaded body. Later, the head was found in the river of Padma.
Seeing the seriousness of this case, senior police officials passed instructions to take immediate action against the culprits of this case. In light of this instruction, contact was established with all the police stations under Hazaribagh district and of adjacent districts as well as of other states too. In course of the investigation, it was found that the deceased Bhim Singh, aged about 41 years of Aurangabad in Bihar was abducted on July 8. Police matched the identity and it became clear to them that the body was of abducted Bhim Singh.
Investigating the case taking the help of a technical cell, the Ichak police arrested the four accused involved in the murder with the help of Aurangabad police. Police also arrested Arjun’s wife for her involvement in this gruesome murder case. All the accused were sent to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan central jail.
