Hazaribag MP, MLA display sporting talent

Hazaribag, April.13: In memory of late Naresh Dev and late Sushila Dev, his son former deputy mayor Anand Deo organised a cricket tournament at Hazaribagh Wales Cricket Ground today. Hazaribag MP and former union minister of state for civil aviation Jayant Sinha and Hazaribag sadar MLA Manish Jaiswal inaugurated the tournament jointly.

Sinha and Jaiswal displayed their sporting talent by getting the introduction of the players of Wales Cricket Club and Dolphin 11 participating in the inaugural match of the cricket tournament. Sinha encouraged the players and the crowd by hitting fours and sixes on the ball thrown by the MLA Jaiswal.

On this occasion, he told the players to show the best of sports talent in them so that in the coming time, they get the opportunity to play in the national team making Hazaribagh and Jharkhand proud.  He also expressed gratitude to Anand Deo for organising this event. He said due to efforts of Deo, players got this opportunity to enhance their talent by playing in this tournament. Jayant Sinha said that sports have special importance in life.

Jaiswal said that in the last five-six years, many developmental works have been done on war footing in the Wales cricket ground and the ground has been made suitable to play cricket. About 5 years back, the ground which had negligible facilities for cricket has undergone a massive change. The boundary wall of the ground, green wall, rejuvenation of the ground with grass and sprinklers have been installed, he informed. The ground now has floodlights and turf wickets for night tournaments. The construction work of the pavilion is going on a war footing and in the coming times, special work will be done to promote infrastructure with practice ground, gym and other sports facilities.
