Hazaribag: One burns alive as hyva truck, bike collide head-on

Hazaribag, Dec.9: A man was burnt alive after his bike collided head-on with a hyva truck carrying stone chips on the Hazaribag-Barkagaon road near Pankri Barwadih in the wee hours of Friday. The deceased was identified as Nirmal Kumar, a resident of Pankri Barwadih. 

Sources said that due to the collision, a fire broke out and engulfed the two vehicles. “Before we could do anything, the biker Nirmal Kumar was also seen in flames. He died on the spot,” sources said.

On information from local residents, firefighters of NTPC and Thriveni Sainik company reached the spot and doused the flames. 

Barkagaon block development officer Jitendra Kumar Pandey and officer-in-charge Neeraj Kumar Singh too reached there. Local people said in recent years, many people have come under the wheel of hyva. They demanded a complete check on the movement of hyva trucks on this busiest stretch passing from a populated area.
