Hazaribag police arrest three for attacking circle officer during raid

Hazaribag, Jan 6: In a case related to the attack on a team comprising of Chouparan circle officer Premchand Kumar Sinha, police arrested three attackers on Friday. The superintendent of police Manoj Ratan Chauthe confirmed the arrest. 

On Wednesday night, sand mafias attacked the team on the banks of the Barakar river in Hazaridhamna village. The team went there after getting information about the activities of sand mafias there. 

The team was not only attacked but the rifle of a police jawan Jitendra Kumar was snatched and thrown into the river. Sinha had lodged an FIR in this regard at Chouparan police station on Thursday. 

Seeing the seriousness of the case, Chauthe formed a team led by subdivisional police officer Nazir Akhtar. The team carried out raids and managed to nab the three main accused who were behind attacking the team and snatching the rifle. Trio identified as Ashok Yadav, Sanjay Kumar and Chandan Yadav.
