Hazaribag: Shaheed Smarak lights up with 3001 diyas as tribute to martyrs

Hazaribag, Oct 20: 3001 diyas were lit by invitees at Shaheed Smarak in town on Wednesday night to pay tribute to those who laid their lives for the country. Right from the organisational secretary of BJP Karmvir Singh, Sadar MLA Manish Jaiswal, and Mayor Roshni Tirkey to political leaders, social workers, businessmen to others visited the memorial adjacent to Hazaribag circuit house to pay their tribute to the martyrs.

One of the organisers Ranjan Choudhary, who is also the media in charge of Jaiswal, said they are organising this program since 2017 as ‘Ek diya shaheedon ke nam’. He said they purchased diyas made by divyang children. Choudhary further said the profusion of diyas in and around the smarak was a beautiful sight to witness last night.

Sadar MLA Manish Jaiswal praised Ranjan and his team for organising this grand program every year. “By lighting diyas, we paid tribute to those who served this nation and laid their lives,” he added.

The brass band of BSF and Arambh band presented patriotic songs. Three selfie points were made which attracted huge gatherings late at night at this place.

Others present were Harish Srivastava, Bhaiya Abhimanyu, Harsh Ajmera, Prasad, Rakesh Gupta, Bhaiya Asim, Ajay Gupta, Chandan Singh, Neeraj Kumar, Tanvir Singh, Ruchi Kujur, Anup Rajesh Lakra and others.
