Hazaribag, Aug 2: A group of youths rescued a man seen stranded in a pond since last night. The man was in the water of a pond situated at the foothills of popular Canary Hill. Wildlife activist Dev Pratap Singh said hotelier Bittu and his friends rescued the man today and provided him with all help to save his life.
Sources said Bittu and his friends spotted the middle-aged man stranded in the waist dip water of the pond. Bittu said when he saw the man, he was shivering and unable to stand holding some aquatic plant.
Soon Bittu and his team of friends came into action and after lots of effort, he was taken out.
Singh said they have failed to ascertain the identity of this man. “We have kept this man in Bittu’s hotel and are trying to locate his identity first,” he added.
