Ranchi, Feb.18: Hazaribagh district administration did not allow Rajya Sabha MP and BJP state president Deepak Prakash to enter Hazaribagh. He was stopped at Charhi, the border of the district.
Prakash informed to Lagatar 24.com saying the situation came when he was on his way to Barhi to meet the family members of the same Rupesh Pandey, who was lynched by a mob while participating in the Saraswati Puja immersion procession.
“I was on my way to participate in the Shradha programme of Rupesh Pandey. I was not allowed to enter the Hazaribagh district. I along with local MLA Manish Jaiswal and a senior leader Monoj Yadav and Balmukund Sahay have been stopped at Charhi, the border of Hazaribagh. State government officials citing section 144 of CrPC as the reason behind their action. Though we are only four, they are reluctant to allow entry,” Prakash said.
“Vinash Kale Viprit Buddhi,” Prakash commented.
Deputy commissioner and the superintendent of police of the district could not be contacted for their comments.
Earlier, BJP leader Kapil Mishra, who came from Delhi, was also stopped from going to Barhi. Kapil Mishra came to Ranchi from Delhi on February 16. The police had taken him into custody at the airport itself. After staying at the airport for about 6 hours, Kapil Mishra had to return from there.
