Ramgarh, June 24: Roshan Pandey, a missing 3-year-old son of Prakash Pandey who is a resident of Meru Hazaribagh of Mufassil police station area, was recovered by the police from Jehanabad in Bihar and brought to Hazaribagh.

The aunt of the child had sold him to a woman of Jehanabad for Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand. A kidnapping case was registered after which Mufassil police arrested Anita Devi (aunt), husband Shankar Pandey, and Jyoti Devi alias Pooja Devi, husband Virendra Singh of Jehanabad who bought the child. Police have sent them to judicial custody.

Roshan Pandey (3), son of Prakash Pandey of Meru, was missing since June 19. The family members were searching for the kid here and there when a child in the house told them that Anita Devi had taken Roshan. This made Roshan’s mother suspicious of the kidnapping and she filed a case at the Mufassil police station.

As soon as the application was received, the Hazaribagh police swung into action and recovered the child from Jehanabad in Bihar and brought him back safely.

It is being said that the woman who bought the child has three daughters. Due to this, her husband used to quarrel a lot. Tired of the fights, Jyoti decided to buy the kid.

The accused woman Anita Devi said, “There is a financial crisis in the house. I was working at Satyam Nursing Home located in Nawabganj, Hazaribagh. From there I got the number of those who bought the child. The deal was fixed for 1.30 lakhs.”
