Ranchi, June 24: In view of the onset of the agricultural period, PVUN (Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited) Ltd organised a Farmer’s Training and Awareness Program on Thursday at Balkudra Village. This program was under the community development initiatives in association with Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ramgarh.
It emphasised on modern techniques of farming along with soil health and optimum use of fertilizers. Around 100 beneficiary farmers actively participated in this program with more than 60% of them being female. This training proved to be effective and enriching for the participants.
The training included how to properly utilise the new and upcoming technology and instruct on the business aspect of farming which further allows them to gain profit. All aspects of such training allow farmers to not only be more productive in terms of agriculture but also how to properly leverage their crops once it is grown.
Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) with the support of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts various training for the benefit of farmers and rural youth in each district.
