Hazaribagh: Masi Marshall High School, Kasturba High School victorious in Subroto Football Cup

Ramgarh, July 25: A total of three final matches for boys and girls U-14 category took place on the final day of the Subroto Mukherjee football competition organized by the Department of Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs concluded at Curzon Stadium. 

The Chief Guest of the final matches were Hazaribagh SP Manoj Ratan Chothe, District Sports Officer Upvan Bada, International hockey player Pankaj Rajak and Hazaribagh Athletics Association general secretary Birender Kumar. They jointly presented trophies to the winners and runners-up players.

 

 

The final match for Boys U-17 was held between KN + 2 High School of Ichak Block and Shanti Niketan High School Babupara Barkagaon of Barkagaon Block. In a very exciting finish, the team of Ichak Block won 1-0.

 In girls U-17, the final match was played between Kasturba high school of Katakamsandi block and Kasturba high school of Barkata block in which the team of Kasturba high school won 1-0.

 

 

The most exciting match was played between the Masi Marshall High School of Churchu Block and Upgraded High School Chano of Visungarh Block. 

By the stipulated time, both the teams could not score a single goal.  Masi Marshall High School won 2-0 in the tiebreaker.

On the occasion of the closing ceremony, chief guest, Hazaribagh SP Manoj Ratan Chothe said that players should not be disappointed after losing and should work hard to win the trophy. He gave his best wishes to the teams. The winning team will participate in the division-level competition to be held at Hazaribagh from August 1 to 4.
