Hazaribagh: MLA Amba Prasad hands over Rs 9 lakh cheque to kin of deceased in elephant attack

Ramgarh, Sept 9: Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad on Friday handed over two cheques worth a total of Rs 9 lakh to the kin of persons who were killed in an elephant attack in village Itij of Keredari block during the winter in 2021. The deceased persons included Rohini Devi and her two children.

MLA Amba Prasad, in coordination with the Forest Department, gave a cheque of Rs 4,50,000 lakh to Masomat Gulbi, the mother of Rohini Devi, and Rs 4,50,000 lakh to Rekha Kumari, who is the daughter of Rohini Devi.

On the occasion, MLA representative Suresh Saw, Kandaber chief Dinesh Saw, 20 point president Arjun Ram,  Manatu Panchayat Mukhiya Devanti Devi, ward member Shambhu Ganjhu and others were present.

Meanwhile, workers working on the conveyor belt by LNT company met  MLA Amba Prasad and made her aware of the basic problems there. The workers, while complaining against the company, told the MLA that they are being made to work but are not getting money on time. They have not received any identity cards from the company as well. On this, the MLA assured them that the problems will be resolved by holding meetings with the concerned officials.
