Hazaribagh: Two die, two injured in road accident at Rajabagi

Ramgarh, July 5: Two people lost their lives while two sustained injuries after a bus rammed into a motorcycle near Rajabagi on Barkagaon-Keredari main road under Hazaribagh district on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Kuleshwar Mahato (40), a resident of Hevai (Bilari) of Keredari block and Anuradha Kumari (13), daughter of late Mukesh Mahto Sindwari.

Sunita Devi (38), wife of Kuleshwar Mahti, and her son Sudhir Kumar (17) were seriously injured in the mishap. They were referred to  Sadar Hospital Hazaribagh for better treatment.

Kuleshwar Mahato along with his family had gone to Hazaribagh’s Oria Bahri for a marriage ceremony. They were returning to their home Hevai (Bilari) when a bus named Aman near Rajabagi rammed their motorcycle due to which Kuleshwar Mahato died on the spot.

After the accident, there was a tussle between the police and the villagers for some time over the demand for compensation for the family of the deceased.  But the matter was resolved with the efforts of some people. Later the body was sent to Hazaribagh Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
