Ranchi, Aug.12: Jharkhand High Court asked Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) about the deadline for installation of the CT Scan machine and sale of generic medicines on the hospital campus.
The court asked RIMS to set a deadline while hearing a PIL related to the state-run super specialty hospital.
When an advocate appearing on behalf of RIMS sought time to give a reply, the court observed that the institute repeatedly asks for time but does not implement the high court order.
Earlier during the hearing, it was submitted on behalf of RIMS that the same company, which supplies generic medicines at Sadar Hospital, has been asked to supply generic medicines at RIMS also and direction has been given to remove Dawai Dost from the RIMS campus.
On which the court expressed its displeasure saying it was a matter of concern while the third wave of corona pandemic is expected, CT scan machines have not been installed and low-cost effective medicines are not available at RIMS despite repeated direction for the same from the court.
The court verbally observed that it wants to equip the hospital with all necessary resources to ensure that it does not outsource other agencies or companies in any circumstance.
