Health department on high alert after 12 fresh Covid cases detected in Jamshedpur today

Jamshedpur, July 1 :  The  East Singhbhum health department this evening sounded an alert for a possible fourth wave of  Covid-19 with Jamshedpur on Friday reporting 12 fresh cases.

 

A report issued by the health department this evening suggested that out of 122 RTPCR tests 8 cases were found positive while out of 19 tests that were conducted  through Truenet three were found Covid positive, thus taking the total number of cases to 12 on a single day on Friday.

 

 

The fresh cases of Covid-19 were found from Telco, Birsanagar, Baridih and Bistupur.

 

With this  the total count of Covid-19 active ases in steel city rose to 58. Earlier, on Sunday 10 cases were found from different localities while on Monday as many as eight cases were found.

 

The positivity rate of Covid -19 has went upto 1.86 per cent while the recovery rate stood at 98.31 per cent.

 

As per health records the total casualties in East Singhbum  district due to Covid – 19 so far is 1,134.

 

Health department officials said the Covid-19  test drive in the district will be intensified. All the hospitals have been also alerted over the rising cases of  Covid-19.
