Rohtak: The Haryana Police has achieved a major breakthrough in the Congress leader Himani Narwal murder case by arresting the prime accused Sachin, a resident of Bahadurgarh, from Delhi just 36 hours after the murder. Sources confirm that the police have recovered Himani’s mobile phone and jewelry from the accused, who is currently being interrogated.

Accused Confesses to Crime

According to sources, Sachin was a friend of Himani Narwal. He allegedly murdered her at her residence in Vijayanagar, stuffed her body inside a suitcase, and then dumped it at the Sampla bus stand before fleeing to Delhi. The Haryana Police is expected to reveal more details about the crime today (Monday).

Discovery of the Suitcase

On March 1, a blue suitcase was found abandoned at Sampla bus stand in Rohtak. Passersby noticed it and alerted the police. When the police opened the suitcase, they discovered the body of a young woman with henna on her hands. Further investigation revealed that the deceased was Congress leader Himani Narwal. Her body was then sent for post-mortem examination.

Who Was Himani Narwal?

Himani Narwal was an active Congress worker and frequently attended the party’s major events. She gained attention after participating in the Bharat Jodo Yatra with Rahul Gandhi, joining the march from Rohtak to Srinagar.

Himani had faced several personal tragedies:

• Her father had committed suicide.

• Her brother was murdered due to a personal enmity.

• She lived in Rohtak’s Vijayanagar area with her mother and another brother.

The Haryana Police is now conducting further investigations to uncover the full motive behind the murder.
